The roundabout at the entrance of the St. Francis Heart Center will be closed to visitor’ vehicles May 30 and 31 and June 2 to accommodate storm sewer and related drainage work.
Construction workers will be at the site to help direct traffic and to assist patients, visitors and shuttle drivers needing to drop off riders at the Heart Center’s main entrance. They also will be on hand to help drivers needing to pick up patients who are being discharged.
“Any unfinished construction left at the end of each day will be plated to allow for traffic after hours,” says Bryan Cooper of Tonn and Blank Construction. “The area will be well marked with cones, flashing lights and other safety devices.”
The project is needed to blend the parking lots at the Heart Center and Women and Children’s Services.
